Шикарная идея заложена в книгу, прекрасно создана атмосфера мира, который есть в повести... и как же разочаровывающе эта идея раскрыта. Как будто Конрад оказался слабее своей повести. Идея - 10. Подача - 5. Итог - 7.

In the trip along the river we can see the trip into you and by means of the “heart of darkness” we can outline the personal subconscious. I think as the time goes by Marlow tries to understand himself, seems like he is going deeper and deeper not to the unknown land, but to the deepest and darkest parts of his mind. For him Mr. Kurtz can become like an ideal, like the embodiment of desires that he will not be able to fulfill ever. We see in this part that deep part of people’s soul is becoming like a stone or ice. Removed from the comforts of civilization, stripped…

да, атмосферно. да, правдиво. да, неплохо написано. но что же так тяжело читалось-то?

приём история в истории - это, конечно, хорошо, а то, что рассказ не затянулся на больше, чем есть - ещё лучше.
