The Lofty, isolated Darracott Place is beset with tragedy.
And when the contemptible Lord Darracot's eldest son meets an awful death, the family are left with no other choice than to invite mysterious heir apparent Hugo to stay.
When the handsome young man arrives, their suspicions seem to be confirmed: he is unsophisticated and unworldly. The family resolve to help educate him.
But as time goes on, will the Darracotts learn there's more to Hugo than meets the eye?
