О премии

Премия Андре Мальро - французская литературная премия, присуждаемая за "произведение, призванное служить человечеству, и эссе по искусству". Номинации премии представляют две грани литературного творчества Андре Мальро.

Премия была учреждена в 1996 году Министерством культуры Франции. Она названа в честь французского писателя, культуролога и героя Французского Сопротивления Андре Мальро (1901-1976).

Первоначально награда вручалась одному лауреату. В период с 2005 по 2017 года премия не присуждалась. В 2018 году по инициативе писателя и адвоката Александра Дюваля-Сталлы премию возобновили и дополнительно учредили еще одну номинацию - За эссе.

Премия вручается ежегодно, 3 ноября, в день рождения Андре Мальро.

Лауреату в номинации Художественное произведение вручается 1933 евро (дань гонкуровской премии, присужденной Мальро за «Состояние человека» в 1933 году) и сертификат на кругосветное путешествие на самолете.
Автору лучшего Очерка по искусству вручается 1933 евро и выходные в Национальной галерее в Вашингтоне, где Мона Лиза была выставлена ​​Мальро.
