Following the beginning of Marvel's Hickman era of X-Men in the Dawn of X and Reign of X, the X-Men line of comics will move into the Destiny of X, what is effectively the third part of life on Krakoa for the mutants.

The Destiny of X is a true changing of the guard for the X-Men, as Head of X Jonathan Hickman leaves the franchise following the events of Inferno. Entering the Destiny of X, there are significant changes in the mutant leadership of Krakoa, as the Quiet Council adapts to new players like Irene Adler, Destiny, a mutant with the ability to see the future, and a destabilized power base for Professor X and Magneto.
