It has a fairly unique touch for the series: the murder being investigated happened 16 years ago, someone was convicted for it, and they might be innocent. Poirot solves the mystery by what he does best - talking to the people involved.
It does get a tad repetitive - Poirot talks with several people about the same chain of events, multiple times - but clues and details are spread throughout these accounts quite well.
I guessed what I thought was the solution around the middle of the book but that was of course by far not the entire thing, and I liked that.
The rhyme about the five little pigs seems a little forced because there’s no connection but the fact that there were five suspects/witnesses. The lines of the rhyme kept being repeated to form some connection which was a bit annoying.
Overall, quite an enjoyable Poirot mystery.
