    8 cute letters out of 10.

    It actually a quite cozy book in which nothing really happens. It's a compilation of letters between a woman booklover in the US and a bookshop in London in the post-war period. Very formal at first, it turns into friends' letters with a lovely exchange of pudding recipes and updates on personal life, children, etc. It's one of those books you read when you want to rest emotionally (and those are real letters!). It's especially cute because she sends them food and supplies it was hard for them to get in the UK at that time due to post-war shortages. Another feel-good and nothing-happenish book is  Джеральд Даррелл - Моя семья и другие звери. Птицы, звери и родственники (сборник) .
