Jocelyn_Phoenix29 марта 2026I’ll be honest, I initially added this book to my TBR because of the word “cat” in the title. I know a cat’s cradle has nothing to do with cats, but also I have a crazy cat person brain (and nine cats) - and I’m sharing this because it, in a way, it matches some of the vibes of the book. Also, because I’m not quite sure how to properly review this.
It’s a mix of serious and funny, real and absurd, accurate and made-up, light-hearted and pessimistic.
It takes two main ways of understanding life, through science and through religion, and satirises the hell out of both of them.
It says a lot of deep things but a lot of them end up being meaningless.
While reading it, I was often unsure what to make of it. But I also realised, while still reading, that I want to reread it, annotate and maybe even discuss it with someone.
It was an interesting - and kind of terrifying - book to read in the present state of the world.
