Chomsky suggests that an ideal form of social organization would be one or another form of what he calls “anarchosyndicalism” or “libertarian socialism.” These are “isms” that one does not usually encounter, although they are suited to the idea that freedom and community can integrate. The anarchist/libertarian aspect would satisfy the need for freedom and creativity, and the syndicalist/socialist that for community (often found not just with family, but with those at work, in community projects, at play, and so on).
