There is no link between celibacy and the priesthood.It should remain a choice for those who wanted it. It's a practical problem; not a theological problem. If it were a theological problem, the Eastern churches could not have married priests in their home territories.Benedict XVI PP has accepted married priests in an Ordinariate. This is perhaps the backdoor to the problem of married Clerics. As long as we can move into the 21st century, recognise the problems we have and get on with the real job of the Church, i.e. ministering to the needs of the laity in the best possible way recognising that we are now in the 21st century and not in post medieval times. Let us have happily married clerics who really want to be in the church to serve. Such a move could be beneficial, as clergy with a family could offer different gifts and it would enable men who did not feel called to celibacy to enter the priesthood. There is no reason why clerics shouldn't be allowed to marry. It has always been a matter of discipline rather than doctrine. The practice of not allowing clerics to marry in the Roman Catholic Church has its origins in discipline not doctrine. The book is good to all Christians.

In the Roman Catholic Church the word Magisterium refers to the teaching authority of the Church.This authority is understood to be embodied in the episcopacy,which is the aggregation of the current bishops of the Church in union with the Pope (excluding Eastern Orthodox Bishops and the Society of St. Pius X),led by the Pope,who has authority over the bishops, individually and as a body, as well as over each and every Catholic directly. With a view to the pastoral service of our faithful, wherever they are to be found, and to respect the traditions of the Eastern churches, it would be desirable to study the possibility of having married priests outside the patriarchal territory.In 1998, the bishops of Australia issued a formal statement saying they had no opposition to married Eastern priests in Australia. Since the onset of colonialism and Christian missionary influx in Africa, female circumcision has continued to be a controversial subject. In their endeavour to civilize and Christianize the Africans, the colonial administrators and the missionaries strove to eradicate African practices which they defined as acting as a hindrance to the achievement of their goals. One such custom which irked them was female circumcision.By the 1920s in Kenya, the issue had become a highly contested one particularly in Central Kenya. The missionaries and their Christian converts regarded clitoridectomy as a repugnant heathen custom, a meaningless mutilation of the body and a degradation of the spirit.They came up with a strong medical case against it,pointing out that it caused difficulties at childbirth and was generally unhealthy. They called for a law enactment to eradicate the custom. Although the colonial administrators held the same views on female circumcision due to their concern about the political consequences of such an enactment they settled for a policy of ameriolating the practice by restricting it to the cutting of the clitoris only.This book is good to all institutions in the globe.
