  It's amazing how Michael Lewis makes boring finance interesting, lively and genuinely entertaining. Without shame, he unravels main traits of the national characters around the world, that led to the financial mess we are in right now. Forget the 1%, people themselves dug the pit they are trapped in through excessive wants, over-confidence and not-really-political-but-common-sense-myopia.
