The last book of my fav series...What can I say? Tavi pretends to be the greatest First Lord in the Realm's history. And not only because of furycrafting. He's multitalented. The main thing he managed is the strong Alliance of the Canim, the Marat, the Icemen, and Alera. That required more than simple diplomacy. And that was efficient to face the vord. Besides, he invented a lot of useful mechanisms.
The book is such amazing not only because of it. I enjoyed what happen with some characters. The worst people could become the best. I mean Fidelias and High Lord (or ex Princeps?) Aquitainus Attis. They did all to make reparation for betrayal Sextus.
And I'm always glad to know more about the Canim. Such an interesting code and views on life! Such bright tempers! And I was surprised after what Sarl and Kharl had done that there're good Canim even among the ritualists. I mean Master Marok and his bloodspeakers. Varg and Nasaug are brilliant as usual.
I wonder why Alera said the Canean vord queen will come to the Realm only in a century and a half. Why after so long time?
If it has a sense the next book can't be about that fight. But I'm looking forward to the next one anyway :)
