4.5 Let's get it started!

The book that was written by 14 years old author. It's intriguing. And it was worth reading! As I remember the world was full of very strong emotions in this age. Today you are the happiest person in the world because the love of your life smiled at you and tomorrow you are antisocial dangerous teenager because someone used the wrong intonation while speaking to you. And the imagination created the worlds full of magic where you could realize your desire to be a superhero. Imagination was the only way to run away from this terrible reality (not taking into account some prohibited stuff).
The feeling from that time returns while reading this book. It's not original, seems like fanfic of young talented author but the plot... I caught myself on the opinion that I want to know what will be next. And also I analized the ideas given by author and some of them were naive but another were pretty cool. He is really the good observer of the life.
Speaking about the originality. It reminds me of the Star Wars. Young chosen one happened to receive superhuman abilities. Young female dragon is like bonus with this blessing. Suddenly, due to the law of genre, the great mentor appeared. And the journey begins...
I was listening to audiobook and the dicesion to choose the very low and hoarse voice for Saphira is a good idea. So we can know that this is the brutal beast from the very beginning. So we can know that this is someone who will take care of "The little one" and who will be wise in this weird couple.
I didn't pay attention to all the characters in the beginning but now, after reading the last book of this "The Inheritance Cycle" I can tell that there were no useless characters.
Eragon is shown as empty white piece of white sheet (he is farmer's nephew) with the kind heart and keen mind (Hello Luke Skywalker!). He knows nothing. He can't even read and write (what was typical for the village he spent the life in).But he has the desire to develop. What else is needed of protagonist?
By the way, it's very pleasant that Eragon (what a name, maybe synthesis of Aragorn and dragon? And sounds so epic) isn't something ideal from the beginning. And that he learns everything not so fast as in the fairytail (but faster than it has to be to make the history more down to earth).
This book is like the videogame where the main hero moves from point A to point B, trains his skills, completes the missions, collect the artifacts. And the final battle against Durza is like the battle against small boss. Like the training before Big Boss.
