О премии

Премия Дафны дю Морье - американская литературная награда для писателей за выдающиеся произведения в жанре романтической тайны, саспенса.

Премия вручается с 2012 года. Названа в честь одной из наиболее известных британских писательниц XX века Дафны дю Морье (1907-1989).

К участию в конкурсе принимаются романы-тайны с романтическим и готическим подтекстом, триллеры, в основе которых - тайна, неизвестность.

Ежегодно проводятся два отдельных конкурса: для опубликованных и неопубликованных произведений. В каждом из этих конкурсов имеются следующие номинации:
- Интрига (Category (Series) romantic mystery/suspense)
- Историческая романтическая тайна/саспенс (Historical romantic mystery/suspense)
- Вдохновенная романтическая мистика/саспенс (Inspirational romantic mystery/suspense)
- Главная тайна/саспенс (Mainstream mystery/suspense)
- Паранормальные явления (Paranormal (PTTF))
- Романтическая тайна/саспенс (Single Title romantic mystery/suspense)

Среди победителей во всех номинация выбирается абсолютный победитель премии.

Заявки на участие принимаются с 15 января по 15 марта каждого года. Финалисты каждого конкурса объявляются в мае (для неопубликованных произведений) и в июне (для опубликованных).
Лауреаты премии объявляются на национальной конференции (RWA National Conference) в июле.

Организаторы премии объявили, что в 2020 году награда вручаться не будет из-за продолжающегося кризиса RWA National Conference.
