Pragnąc wydostać się w szeroki świat, gdzie mają się urzeczywistnić jej marzenia, nie waha się wystąpić przeciw obowiązującym normom, lekceważąc przy tym opinię bliskich i depcząc ich uczucia. Ale świat zawiódł nadzieje Hamidy. Nawet sprytnie obmyślana zemsta nie dosięgnie sprawcy jej nieszczęścia. Książka ukazała się dotychczas w 24 językach.
