Not every artist has an opportunity to meet the Muse. Our hero was lucky, and he found his true inspiration and unprecedented success. But where is the truth — inside the creator, in his feelings and affection, or in the outside world? The young painter must find his own answer to this question

In their hearts, some people are ready to pronounce the death sentence to others, even if they talk about love and forgiveness. Having learned about the heinous act committed by some villain, they believe that the bastard deserves a painful execution. Still, most of them are not ready to do such a “routine work” every day, from nine to six with lunch breaks. People don’t want to get their hands dirty: when the executioner carries out the court’s sentence, even the judges are judging him.

An author can naively believe that the course of events in his story depends entirely on his will and plan. However, the characters may have a different opinion on the subject.

It’s not just a story. It’s is a BIG story. And really — what’s the point of telling a small story if you can tell a BIG one? On the other hand, such concepts as “big” and “small” largely depend on the point of view. Besides, “bigger” does not always mean “better”.

What is inversionism? In simple terms, it is a reversal to ideals, step back from the edge of the cliff. It is not about an ordinary repetition of old ways but about returning updated. It is an attempt (perhaps a little quixotic) to turn the inverted world back. It is the avant-garde without provocation and scandalous tricks. It is art, experimental in form but traditional in the noblest sense of the word, since its goal is reaching out to minds and hearts to make the world slightly better.

There could be different versions of the event but we must admit that everyone would be as confused as the main character of this story. However, the real shock came to him later — when the initially ridiculous situation took an unexpected turn…

Rumours which started from a lie and slander sometimes become true. For instance, that is so for the cases when a person of whom people think as a monster becomes one because of bullying. At the same time, the real threat may not come from someone who seems mysterious or sinister — a menace can be banal and absurd, without any mysticism.
