Это была одна из последних книжек с участием Eleven, после чего я вероломно переключилась на Десятого. Название оправдано содержанием – там правда есть нефритовая пирамида. Только не в Египте каком-нить, а в самой настоящей…
Feudal Japan: unfortunately, the Shogun sends samurai to seize the jade pyramid (aka alien tech) at the heart of a Shinto shrine; its Otoroshi guardians - furry robot ogres - massacre most of them; charming village elder Shijo gets killed; evil Taneka takes over; the Doctor gets attacked by a ninja assassin, etc etc. Fortunately, Amy tricks Taneka into confessing to embezzlement; the Doctor deactivates the Otoroshi and seals up the spaceship under the shrine; and the samurai return home. All because some nice peaceful aliens went exploring and promptly got slaughtered by the natives.
