О премии

Литературная премия старейшей известной британской газеты «Гардиан» (The Guardian) - ежегодная награда для британского писателя или писателя Содружества за лучшую художественную книгу, опубликованную в Соединенном Королевстве.

Премия появилась в 1965 году и просуществовала 33 года. Последнее вручение премии состоялось в 1998 году.

С 1999 года эта награда была заменена на Премию газеты "Гардиан" за лучший дебют в области литературы (Guardian First Book Award), которая тоже была прекращена в 2016 году.
